The Heyworth Education Foundation is a non-profit, independent, tax-exempt corporation, founded in 1997. The Board of Directors, along with our generous supporters, strive to provide special opportunities and experiences in support of the Heyworth School District.

What is the mission?
The Heyworth Education Foundation shepherds the money raised to fund the set-up and launch of extraordinary programs, projects, and opportunities for the benefit of Heyworth CUSD#4 students.

What is the relationship between the Foundation and the school district?
The Foundation is a separate, legal entity and not part of the school district. However, there is ongoing communication and cooperation between the foundation and the district.

Who makes decisions about what programs are funded?
Decisions are made by the Foundation Board of Directors.
​
How often does the Foundation Board of Directors meet?
We meet monthly to discuss grant requests and conduct other business. Meetings are generally held on the 4th Wednesday of each month.

Who administers the Foundation funds?
The Board of Directors of the Foundation is responsible for the financial management of the Foundation’s funds. The Foundation is an IRS 501(c)(3) tax exempt corporation organized under the laws of the State of Illinois.

Are contributions tax-deductible?
Yes.

How can I help?
As a teacher in the Heyworth CUSD#4 district, you can apply for grant money from the Foundation. Applications can be submitted at any time. Any individual can also make a direct contribution or pledge to the Foundation.
